Annexation Decision Delayed
The Board of Directors of Lost Creek MUD met on May 21, 2007, to formally consider the proposed Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) between the MUD and the City of Austin. The Board had previously conducted two public meetings regarding the SPA at the Forest Trail Elementary School on May 12 and 17, 2007. After considerable discussion by the directors and residents in attendance, a motion was made and seconded to approve the proposed SPA; two directors voted in favor of the motion and two directors voted against the motion, with one director being absent. No final action concerning the proposed SPA was taken by the Board at the meeting. The proposed SPA will be rescheduled for formal consideration by the full Board of Directors during a special meeting in early June. The Austin City Council cannot take action on the SPA until it is approved by the Lost Creek MUD Board.
